Sound Meditations sits at the intersection of sacred sound, classical chamber music, and sound healing. Featuring award-winning vocal quartet Seraphour, the experience draws on Gregorian chant and polyphony to invite deep listening, resonance, and reflection in a contemplative setting.
Event Detailed Description
Sound Meditations is an immersive listening experience at the intersection of sacred sound, classical chamber music, and sound healing. Led by award-winning vocal quartet Seraphour, the program draws inspiration from Gregorian chant and sacred polyphony, reimagined in a spacious, contemplative format.
Sustained vocal harmonies unfold alongside singing bowls tuned to resonant frequencies, creating a continuous soundscape that invites deep listening and reflection. Principles drawn from the Alexander Technique are woven into the experience, supporting ease, awareness, and natural coordination in both listening and presence.
Rather than a traditional concert, Sound Meditations offers a shared, chamber-scale environment where sound is experienced as vibration, resonance, and collective stillness. Audience members are invited to lie down or sit comfortably, allowing sound and silence to guide attention inward.
This is a free community event, generously funded by the VibeWell Ventura Initiative. Registration is required.
No prior meditation experience is necessary. All are welcome.
