 Renowned for his dazzling virtuosity and magnetic stage presence, Simon Trpceski brings a tour-de-force recital.
He opens with Ravel’s Valses nobles et sentimentales, a graceful tribute to the waltz tradition, followed by Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite in Mikhail Pletnev’s sparkling piano arrangement. Busoni’s Sonatina No. 6 “Carmen Fantasy” brings wit and theatrical flair, paving the way for a trio of Liszt masterpieces—the fiery Hungarian Rhapsody No. 11, the dramatic Paraphrase from Rigoletto, and the virtuosic Rhapsodie espagnole.
Macedonian pianist Simon Trpceski is celebrated worldwide for his powerful virtuosity, expressive range, and charismatic stage presence. A BBC New Generation Artist, he has appeared with many of the world’s leading orchestras and earned a reputation as one of the most distinctive pianists of his generation, bringing imagination and intensity to every performance.
