Set during the tumultuous time following the French Revolution, Les Misérables is the story of Jean Valjean, a former convict who spends a lifetime seeking redemption. As Paris struggles for its own soul, Valjean discovers the true meaning of love and salvation. The story of Valjean, Javert, Fantine, Cosette, Maurius, and Éponine still captures the hearts of our better selves.
New staging options granted to select professional regional theaters with more intimate venues allow companies such as CVRep to challenge their resourcefulness and creativity while preserving Les Misérables glorious music, inspiring chorus work, and stunning tableaux. CVRep’s production will be powerful, inspiring, and unforgettable. “I Dreamed a Dream,” “On My Own,” and “Bring Him Home” are but a few of its deeply touching, award-winning songs.
