Celebrate Black History Month with a powerful performance that honor the resilience, creativity, and legacy of Black Americans. Cross That River, an original musical by award-winning musician Allan Harris, tells the untold story of Black Cowboys in the 1860s American West through a stirring blend of fiction and historical fact. Following the journey of Blue, a runaway slave who finds freedom and a new life in Texas, the musical uses a rich, emotional score to explore themes of perseverance, hope, and identity.
